05 Jan Orillia stylist wins international gold

A small salon in Orillia is making its mark in the world of hair fashion.
Cavana Inn, Spa and Salon stylists have come home two years in a row with gold medals in an international hair competition. It’s the first time a North American salon has won back-to-back golds, said co-owner Lee Johnston.
This year, hairstylist Emily Murphy, 33, won gold in the colour competition for the Canadian finals in Los Angeles. Last year, Lucy Zemba, 28, was named Canada’s top young talent at the Wella Trend Vision hairstyling competition North American final in Las Vegas.
